INDIGO, FOR THE LOVE OF BLUE, Dye Days with Bethany Garner

Over the two days together, Beth's students will have the opportunity to learn and start working in the Indigo Dye Vats which are so important for the creative dyeing of their favourite cloth and developing skills for using Natural Dyes for INDIGO artwork.

The students may have used the dyes before, and the new students will have a chance to gain many skills that will see them developing beautiful art cloth and designs during our two class days. Pre-stitch work using needle and thread, folding and tying cloth as we start the morning of our first day. Students choose and supply the size of their cloth supply for dyeing their own projects . They will learn hand stitch work and the creation of unique and wonderful Indigo cloth for clothing, home decor and art for hanging once finished. Handouts to follow.
