Join Laura Easterling as she takes you on an adventure into natural dyes. This will be a very basic introduction to the natural dye indigo. This will be a dye bath for protein fibers (wool, alpaca, yak, silk, etc). You can bring your own skeins of yarn to dye, or can purchase them in the shop (prices start at $6). The class cost includes dyeing 2 skeins of yarn, and then there is an additional charge of $2 per skein.
Your place in line to put your skeins into the dye pot depends on order of signing up. If you’d like darker indigo skeins, signing up sooner is the best way to guarantee your place in line.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are pregnant, you are not allowed to participate in this class.
Materials provided: dye materials and two skeins of natural wool yarn.
Please bring an old apron and wear clothes appropriate for a messy environment
