Join in on Nov. 8 as we recognize Indigenous Veterans Day, a special occasion to remember and honour the significant contributions of Indigenous people in Canada's military history. The event will feature Elder and Indigenous Veteran Michael Monias, who will share insights about his own life and military service. He will also lead a discussion on the enduring significance of the iconic poem In Flanders Fields, reflecting on its meaning more than 100 years after the end of World War I.
This is an opportunity to engage in thoughtful dialogue and deepen our understanding of the sacrifices made by Indigenous veterans. No registration required.
A light lunch will be served at 1 p.m. and the presentation will start at 1:30 p.m.
