Indigenous Community Feedback Session
About this Event
Our Indigenous community within NYC urban areas have been severely underserved by New York Office of Mental Health services, UNTIL NOW!
UIC is hosting a community feedback session alongside Indigenous representatives from the NYC Office of Mental Health to hear directly from New York's Indigenous community. This is an opportunity to share your experiences navigating mental health services and to provide feedback of what we want access, sustainability, and culturally-grounded care to look like for Indigenous relatives in NY.
There are few opportunities Indigenous people get to rebuild a colonial system and shape it to meet our needs! Join us in advocating for the care Indigenous people deserve!
All attendees will receive a free meal and a $25 Visa gift card!
