Indiana Music Economy Sessions: Muncie
About this Event
Muncie has no shortage of musical talent, cultural assets or big ideas. With major new investment underway around Ball State’s Village, a new Performing Arts Center, a growing grassroots music scene and a regional strategy that already identifies music as an opportunity, the question is what comes next. This conversation brings together perspectives from the music industry, tourism, economic development and higher education to explore how Muncie can turn talent and activity into stronger businesses, careers, audiences and economic opportunity.
Panelists will discuss what is already working in Muncie, where greater coordination could make a difference, and what kinds of investment, leadership or infrastructure could help the local music economy grow.
This session follows similar conversations in Fort Wayne, South Bend–Elkhart, Bloomington, and Madison, with the larger goal of understanding what different Indiana communities need — and where local efforts might connect to a stronger statewide music economy.
Lunch is included with ticket registration.
