GROUPS
New this year, students will belong to three different groups:
1) Level Group, 2) Instrument Group, and 3) Jam Group.
1) Level Groups: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. Students will self-assign based on their comfort level of playing along in jams. Level groups will address jam skills needed in each stage of learning.
2) Instrument Groups: Fiddle, Mandolin, Guitar, Banjo, Cello/Bass, Other. Instrument groups will learn how to play the Camp Tunes and address other issues that come up when playing that instrument.
3) Jam Groups: Jam Groups will be assigned by the program director to be mixed levels and mixed instruments. The goal is to apply things you're learning in your Level Group and Instrument Group in a realistic (but safe and controlled) jam setting.
