Indiana County NAACP 38th Annual Freedom Fund Banquet

Since 1987, the annual freedom fund banquet has been the major fundraiser that helps to securiethe resources needed for our continuing work towards a more socially inclusive and caring society. It provide participants with an opportunity to celebrate our shared journey in an inspiring, relaxing, and enjoyable atompshere. Among other, annual awards are presented to honor community members for their steadfast work and contributions toward the promotion of equality and social justice.

It will feature Josh Taylor, news anchor and reporter at KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh, author of seven books, and recipient of with many awards, including the New Pittsburgh Courier’s “Men of Excellence” award and Emmy Award for his role in the “Steel City High School Football Showcase” team with JRM Productions" as the guest speaker. Attendees will experience stories of triump and excellence, music, live entertainment, special exhibitions, prizes, raffles, delicious food, a FFB marketplace, and a fun-filled, relaxing , and interacting atmosphere of social engagement as we also celebrates our community resilience, progress, and highlights the fierce urgency of now.

We encourage you to joins us, as we come together for one cause, to move forward with efforts "to achieve equity, political rights, and social inclusion by advancing policies and practices that expand human and civil rights, eliminate discrimination, and accelerate the well-being , education, and economic security..." of the underserved and underreppppresented.
