Join us for an evening of discovery as Maharaja Drinks hosts a unique Indian Whisky Night at Cinnamon Bazaar, Covent Garden.
About this Event

Whisky expert James Bunting (WSET Level 3 Spirits and Educator) will guide you through five whiskies from four of India’s leading distilleries.

You’ll discover how Indian producers are developing their own distinctive styles, from tropical-fruit and wine-cask finishes to aromatic peat, with stories, surprising details and plenty of room for questions.

Canapés from Cinnamon Bazaar will be served during the evening.

The whisky line-up

Rampur Asava
Rampur Asava begins its maturation in American ex-bourbon casks before being finished in Indian Cabernet Sauvignon casks, bringing tropical fruit, vanilla and coconut together with darker fruit and warm spice.

Indri Trini Three Wood
Made with Indian six-row barley and matured in three different cask types: ex-bourbon, French red wine and PX sherry.

Amrut Single Malt
One of the names that helped put Indian single malt whisky on the international map.

Paul John Nirvana
A softer, fruitier side of Indian whisky. This unpeated single malt from Goa brings pear and tropical fruit to the fore and makes an excellent introduction to the Paul John style.

Paul John Peated Select Cask
We finish with something smokier. This Goan single malt brings together aromatic peat, malt richness and underlying tropical fruit.

Maharaja Drinks is a UK-based Indian drinks emporium founded in 2023 by a group of friends led by Ipe and Adam Jacob, united by a mission to champion the very best of Indian drinks and bring them to a wider audience in the UK. Travelling extensively across India, the founders immersed themselves in each producer's story, meeting makers, touring distilleries and conducting in-person tastings to curate a portfolio defined by quality, authenticity and craftsmanship.
