Join us for a mesmerising cultural evening that blends movement, rhythm, and stillness — celebrating the richness and universality of Indian classical dance and music in the heart of Heidelberg.Indian Classical Night – Then & Now explores how classical art forms remain deeply rooted in tradition while continuing to evolve through modern expression. The evening brings together traditional classical performances alongside classical choreography and music set to contemporary and film soundscapes, creating an experience that is both authentic and accessible for diverse audiences.
🧘♀️ Heartfulness Meditation (1h)
The evening opens with a Heartfulness Meditation session, led by a certified Heartfulness trainer.
This gentle, guided practice offers a moment to pause, ground, and reset, preparing both mind and body for the artistic journey that follows.
🎶 Classical Performances (17:00 onwards...)
Following the meditation, the stage unfolds with a curated sequence of performances featuring:
> Indian classical dance and music in their traditional form
> Classical choreography and vocal music interpreted through contemporary and film-based compositions
The programme is designed to honour artistic depth while opening doors for new audiences, encouraging curiosity, connection, and appreciation of classical traditions in a modern world.
