The report examines India's complex relationships with neighbours including Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Pakistan, as well as its strategic presence in the Indian Ocean. It unpacks how economic ties, security rivalries, and domestic politics are reshaping alliances across the region.
With China's influence expanding and smaller states hedging their bets, South Asia has become a key arena of great-power competition. The presentation will walk through the report’s key findings and follow it up with a discussion on India’s role in the evolving geopolitical landscape, in the neighbourhood and abroad.
Speakers: Rohan Mukherjee, Ankita Barthwal, Anna Rio.
The is held at NUPI, and it will also be live streamed on NUPI's YouTube channel.
