This sessions offers an overview of the Independent Living (IL) philosophy - a rights-based, person centered approach grounded in choice, control, and self-determination. We'll explore supported decision-making, the power of choice, and discuss how these values translate to everyday community-based living.
The goal of this workshop is to help participants understand disability through a strength-based lens and view support work as a collaborative partnership that promotes autonomy, dignity, and inclusion.
Our Community Access Program offers a variety of workshops and activities designed to build life skills, strengthen confidence, and support greater independence for persons with disabilities.
