🎆 IndepenDANCE Day 🎆
Where freedom rings...
and so do the cowbells.
Every July, people celebrate independence in different ways.
Some fire up the grill.
Some watch fireworks.
Some spend the weekend debating whether they really need another helping of potato salad.
At El Ritmo?
We dance.
Join us for IndepenDANCE Day, our annual celebration of freedom, friendship, and finding out that your favorite dance move is apparently one you've been doing incorrectly for six months.
This July, prepare for:
✨ Spins that would make Lady Liberty dizzy.
✨ Bachata so smooth it should come with a warning label.
✨ Enough salsa to make your smartwatch think you're training for a marathon.
✨ And at least one moment where you think, “Maybe I should do this every weekend.”
(You should.)
💃 THE DETAILS 💃
$15 at the door (Cash or Venmo)
6:45 PM – Doors open.
Walk in. Grab a drink. Pretend you know exactly what you're doing.
7–8 PM – Beginner-friendly lesson.
No partner. No experience. No problem.
We'll teach you everything you need to survive—and thrive—on the dance floor.
8–11 PM – Social dancing.
Salsa. Bachata. Community.
A room full of people who came for the dancing and stayed for the friendships.
11:01 PM – Aftermath.
Will you head home smiling?
Will you stop for late-night food with your new dance friends?
Will you spend the next three days trying to remember the move that worked perfectly once?
The future remains unwritten.
🎆 INDEPENDANCE DAY FAQS 🎆
👯 Do I need a partner?
Nope!
Come solo, come with friends, come with your cousin who insists they “can't dance.”
We've heard that one before.
💃 I've never danced before. Can I still come?
Absolutely.
The lesson is designed for beginners and our community loves welcoming new dancers.
Everyone starts somewhere.
Even the people who now make it look effortless.
🍹 Drinks?
The bar will be serving liquid courage, social confidence, and hydration for all those dramatic spins.
Please tip your bartenders.
They're doing important work.
🍽️ Food?
Possibly.
Like freedom itself, food options can be unpredictable.
Check back for updates or bring a snack if your stomach and your salsa timing have a complicated relationship.
💸 How do I pay?
Cash or Venmo at the door.
No taxation without participation.
Just check in, pay your $15, and exercise your constitutional right to have an amazing time.
🎉 Age limits?
12+ welcome!
Whether you're brand new, a seasoned social dancer, or simply looking for a fun night out, there's a place for you here.
👗 How should I dress?
Wear whatever helps you feel confident and comfortable.
Red, white, and blue are encouraged, but dancing shoes are even better.
