Inclusion through Adventure Days - Amersham
Join the Richard Whitehead Foundation for our first Inclusion Through Adventure Day, taking place on 10 May.
This FREE pilot event is designed for people with physical impairments, including wheelchair users, offering the chance to experience outdoor adventure in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Participants can take part in activities such as archery, high ropes and mountain biking—choosing to do as much or as little as they feel comfortable with.
Please arrive at 9:30am for registration and a health and safety briefing. Activities will begin at 10am and finish at 3:00pm at Woodrow High House Outdoor Centre. A two-course buffet lunch is included.
We are delighted to offer 30 places, available on a first come, first served basis. The closing date for registrations is 30 April 2026 at 12pm.
Please note:
- Activities are for disabled adults (18+), who must be able to follow instructor guidance independently and support their own airway. . You will have to wear a helmet and harness to participate in some activities, which will be provided and fitted by instructors
- Participants may attend with a carer only if they would normally require one (carers will not take part in activities but will be catered for)
- Arrival on time at 9.30 is essential for the health & safety briefing at 9:45am
- Activities will run from 10am to 3pm, with a break for lunch (included)
- This is an outdoor event - please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Activities will still go ahead if it is raining

This is a pilot event, with plans to develop future sessions supporting a broader range of disabilities.
