Inclusion Day at Xplore

At Xplore! Science Discovery Centre, we believe that everyone should be able to learn and discover the wonders of science in a way that feels comfortable and inclusive for them. That's why we are excited to announce Inclusion Day, a special event making our centre more welcoming for those with additional needs or disability.

💖 Autistic Haven CIC has been kindly invited to take part in Inclusion Day as a group, free of charge.

🎫 Please order one ticket per family.

🪐 Space-themed activities, including hands-on sessions exploring Planets, Constellations, and the Moon. The activities will all take place in the open-plan lunch area, so families won’t need to go into any closed rooms where they might feel unsure about what to expect.

• Sorting planets using plushies
• Moon and craters craft
• Plotting constellations
• Planet orbits game

🎧 A quiet sensory room is available, and fidget toy bags with ear defenders are available at reception, at no cost to hire.

🥪 There is a cafe and a separate area with picnic tables if you would like to bring your own lunch.

⏰ Please arrive by 11 am. You will have the whole day, up until 4 pm, to explore the museum.

🧑 Staff members on the day will be Tom and Amy. We’ll also be joined by Lucinda, a visitor from the Royal Astronomical Society, who will be supporting the activities as part of a staff swap.

🎨 Our beloved arts & crafts session will run in the afternoon; please book it separately.
