Come and celebrate the end of the 2025-2026 Surry Arts Players Season as we recognize individuals for excellence in acting and work backstage for show in season productions including:

In addition to awards and recognition, we will be announcing the 2026-2027 season shows with a sneak peak at some of the songs!
Get dressed to impress and join us for on stage seating, light refreshments, awards and entertainment! This is for anyone involved or interested in the Surry Arts Players and their families!
Why are they called the Ghost Light Awards?
Ghost lights are important to the theatre! A ghost light is a small, single bulbed light (usually a floor lamp of some type) that shines on the dark stage throughout the night when the theatre is closed and unoccupied. The practical purpose of the Ghost Light is for safety. It allows those who may be working late at night to see where they are going. Stages have many hidden places, bumps, and set pieces and there is always the orchestra pit that you want to stay clear of! For actors and theatre participants there is also a symbolic reason for the Ghost Light. It is said that every theatre has a ghost! A Ghost Light provides light at night to welcome any friendly ghosts as they perform or travel through the theatre!

What time does the gate open?
Please enter through the stage doors. Doors open at 6:30 pm and the awards begin at 7:00 pm. Seating is general admission on stage.
