Enjoy a hike to the Governor Dick Tower and participate in a BioBlitz with iNaturalist Ambassadors, and other iNaturalist users!

This Event will take place at the Clarence Schock Environmental Center.
3283 Pinch Rd, Manheim, PA 17545.
What to Expect
The event will include a hike to Governor Dick Tower, from the Clarence Schock Environmental Center. Take pictures, take observations for the BioBlitz and learn while using iNaturalist. Ambassadors will be available to help use and learn about iNaturalist. At the summit feel free to break off from the group, explore the tower, or enjoy a picnic.
Accessibility:
Hike will be leisurely to allow for observing, and learning. Terrain may include uneven surfaces, rocks, or logs. Route will be moderate difficulty, some steeper portions are present. Total distance of approximately 3 miles. Pace will be that of the slowest hiker.
BioBlitz
This event is a BioBlitz and hike through iNaturalist! Hike through the woods and take observations of any plants, animals, fungi, birds, insects or anything living for iNaturalist, and upload them to the BioBlitz!
Sign up for iNaturalist and download the app before you arrive. Available on iOS and Android.
Join the BioBlitz! Once you join your observations taken that day will be automatically added to the project.
iNaturalist Ambassadors will be present to assist anyone unfamiliar with iNaturalist.
Cellular Service and Internet will be limited at the BioBlitz location, utilize cellular data to upload observations or wait until you're home and upload. Any observations tagged at the time and place of the event will be included, even if they're uploaded after the event has ended!
