In Your Own Words: A Multilingual Celebration at Cambridge Central Library
About this Event
Celebrate Cambridge's multilingual communities with an afternoon of stories at this free storytelling event.
Stories come in all shapes and sizes. Forms and languages.
At In Your Own Words we’re celebrating multilingualism with stories in all of their many forms. They might be oral, written, told through song, or signed, no matter the form or the language it’s in, there’s a place for stories in all of our languages at this free storytelling event. Each storyteller will have 3-5 minutes to share their story in their mother language. The stories might be fiction, true stories, memories, notes, songs, or something in between.
If you’d like to read a 3-5 minute story, please email Yvonne Battle-Felton at [email protected]
Sponsored by the Creative Writing Centre at PACE and supported by Cambridgeshire Libraries, the event is free and all are welcome.
