What Is Art? / What Makes Good Art? / Is Everyone an Artist? / What Defines an Artist? How Do You Make Art? / Who Makes Art? / Can Everyone Make Art?
In [The] Making explores the questions we ask ourselves as makers and creators. It is a philosophical insight into the creative process and the intertwined nature that all art exists in. The choreographers collaborate with performers, shaping a live-time dance work incorporating sound, lighting, visual art and projection.
In [The] Making provides a rare public glimpse into the authentic, vulnerable, and playful journey of crafting contemporary dance, enabling audiences to access viewing creative process and decision-making in real time. In its second iteration, In [The] Making involves a series of improvised contemporary dance performances, guided by a dynamic movement score.
We have collaborated with sound designer, Diamond Lee, and visual artist, Aisha Hara, to contribute to In [The] Making and further explore creative process within a multidisciplinary context.
