2026 [ IN THE AUTHOR'S VOICE ] Series
Allegra Goodman, author of Isola, a New York Times Notable Book and a 2025 finalist for the Kirkus Prize for Fiction, will be visiting MPL on Thursday, June 18, at 6:30 p.m. Goodman has written several novels and short story collections. She has been published in The New Yorker, The New York Times Book Review, The Wall Street Journal,
The New Republic, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, and The American Scholar.
Raised in Honolulu, Goodman studied English and philosophy at Harvard and received a PhD in English literature from Stanford. She is the recipient of a Whiting Writer’s Award, the Salon Award for Fiction, and fellowships from MacDowell and the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study.
Goodman’s newest novel, This is Not About Us, releases in February and has received starred reviews from Booklist, Publishers Weekly, and Kirkus.
