This concert, featuring works by Korngold, Kreisler and Joe Twist, is teeming with passion and yearning, and explores the sweet sorrow of star-crossed lovers in two musical interpretations of Romeo and Juliet. Selections from Prokofiev’s much-loved ballet score are paired with the performers’ own arrangement of an orchestral interlude from Delius’ opera 'A Village Romeo and Juliet'.
