John Prine was one of our generation’s most influential singer-songwriters. Known for his blend of humorous lyrics about love and life, along with elements of social commentary and satire, he was a favourite of the likes of Bob Dylan, Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Cash, and Roger Waters.
We bring you the joy that John Prine brought to his songs—this is our homage to one of the greats. Featuring four of Canada’s finest singer-songwriters, this show, backed by a full band, delivers all of John’s “hits” along with some of his more obscure gems.
As this is a celebration of John’s 80th birthday, we’re presenting it as an “all-request” show. We’d love for you to drop us a line with your favourite John Prine songs, and we’ll do our best to play them.
