TWO SESSIONS: 6-7pm & 8-9pm
The Church Studio presents IN SESSION, a recording session with Jocelyn Gould—an exclusive and immersive listening experience in the iconic Live Room in collaboration with Northeastern State University. Limited to just 50 attendees per show, this event offers a unique opportunity to become part of the recording and tracking process.
As an integral part of the session, each guest will be provided with individual headphones delivering a personalized mix of vocals and multi-track instrumentation. This is more than a concert—it's a rare glimpse into the artistry of analog recording, a journey into raw and authentic soundscapes.
About Jocelyn Gould
JUNO Award-winning guitarist and vocalist Jocelyn Gould has become an international favorite for her swinging style, technical mastery, and engaging stage presence. Her debut album, Elegant Traveler, won the 2021 JUNO Award for Jazz Album of the Year (Solo), with subsequent albums Sonic Bouquet and Portrait of Right Now earning 2024 and 2025 JUNO nominations.
An active international touring artist, Jocelyn has performed across North America, Europe, and Japan at renowned venues and festivals including Massey Hall, Birdland, Dizzy's Club, the Montreal International Jazz Festival, Le Duc des Lombards (Paris), and Jazzhus Montmartre (Copenhagen). For this performance, she is joined by the Jazz at Lincoln Center Crooners Rhythm Section—Robbie Lee (piano), Felix Moseholm (bass), and Maria Marmarou (drums). Jocelyn has also collaborated with acclaimed artists including Freddy Cole, Bria Skonberg, Geoffrey Keezer, Michael Dease, Etienne Charles, and Benny Bennack III.
In addition to performing, Jocelyn is a sought-after educator, serving on the faculty of the Brevard Jazz Institute and Seiko Summer Jazz Camp. She is a Benedetto-endorsed artist and continues to tour internationally while releasing acclaimed new music.
