Meet current artists in residence Šárka Zahálková, Rina Eide Løvaasen, Kjersti Vetterstad & Georgiana Dobre!They will be presenting their artistry and projects at LKV on Thursday, 14 November at 12:30.
The guest artist presentations will take place in LKV’s kitchen.
Come earlier, bring your “matpakke” and eat lunch with us before the presentation. ❤

Šárka Zahálková acts as an artist, curator, cultural manager and activist. She has a long-standing interest in art as a tool of social change and art in the public space, acoustic ecology, collective non–hierarchical work based on cooperation across disciplines, and the social/environmental turn in arts. Walking, listening and conscious and sensitive work with the place, interaction with the community as well as other artists, architects and theorists are important starting points for her artistic and curatorial work. In her own artistic practice, her work spans drawing, time-based media, installations, sound art, and community oriented participative projects. She is PhD candidate at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague.

Rina Eide Løvaasen is a Norwegian artist based in Malmö. Within a transdisciplinarily practice, she uses oil painting as a foundation for projects that incorporate mixed-media objects—such as glass, stone, and Jacquard weavings—alongside video installations and performative productions. Collaborating with other artists and professionals allows her to expand the spectrum of materials and media within her practice.

Kjersti Vetterstad (b. 1977) is a visual artist living and working between Drammen and Oslo, Norway. Through a wide range of media such as performance, installation, text, sound, video and film, Vetterstad explores themes such as time, place and impermanence, and questions related to identity, alienation, and human-nonhuman relationships.
Georgiana Dobre (b.1989) is a Romanian dancer, performer and choreographer who lives and works in Norway. Entrenched in speculative somatic practices and fuelled by references drawn from queer, new materialist and posthuman theory, her work explores, through dance, choreography, text, and moving images, ideas connected to the naturalisation of the body and its forms of escapism in relation to histories of violence and climate breakdown.
