About this Event
This in-person session is specifically for committee members or volunteer coordinators for rural community-owned businesses.
Join Plunkett UK in a lively interactive workshop and share peer support to learn how to find and keep those crucial people: volunteers! Delegates will leave with a tailored recruitment action plan, developed during the session.
Most rural community-owned businesses can't function without a healthy volunteer team behind (and sometimes in front of!) the scenes. But it can be a challenge to get people involved and to keep them once they are.
We'll be covering:
- why people volunteer (and why they don't)
- different types of volunteering (virtual, fitting it around people's work patterns, buddy volunteering etc)
- best practice
- how community engagement and volunteering are linked
- how to look after volunteers well (and what benefits you can and can't offer)
Booking is restricted to max. 2 delegates from each community business.
This training is FREE for Plunkett Members.
