MTS PD Day: MAME Presents Dr. Monica C. Parker “Wonder in Teaching and Learning: Science-backed ways to make learning feel alive again”

From the first tickle of curiosity to an unexpected shift in how we perceive the world, we’ve all felt wonder — those moments of magic and mystery that captivate us, surprise us, and teach us. In this engaging session, attendees will explore the psychological and physiological benefits of wonder, discover its role in teaching and learning, and leave with tangible strategies to start using with their students immediately. Covering topics like experiential learning, deep play, non-neurotypical learners, the green advantage, and many others, this session will invigorate the wonder inherent in all educators while showing how wonder is the key to creating life-long learners.

Join us on Friday, October 24th, 2025 at the Club Regent Event Centre for an in-person experience you won't want to miss. Doors open at 8:00 AM for rush seating. There is on-site free parking available.

MAME will be providing refreshments throughout the day such as light snacks (GF options available), coffee, tea and water. We ask that you do not bring any outside food or beverages to the conference with you.
