About this Event
All prospective students must attend an Orientation & Assessment session on either Tuesday, August 25 or Wednesday, August 26 at the Carver Center for Families.
During orientation, our team will:
- Assess your current education level
- Determine the best placement for your learning needs
- Provide program expectations and onboarding information
- Connect you with available student supports
Achieve Your GED at the Carver Center for Families
Join our comprehensive GED preparation program designed to help you succeed! Led by experienced educator Cory J. Spencer, M.Ed., and supported by the Georgetown Project's Bridges to Growth program, this course provides everything you need to earn your GED credential.
What You'll Get:
- Expert instruction in language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies
- One-on-one tutoring and personalized support
- GED Ready practice exams
- Free test vouchers for all four GED subjects
- Access to laptops and all classroom materials
- Small class sizes with individualized attention

- When: Tuesdays & Wednesdays for the Fall of 2026
- Where: Carver Center for Families
- Led by: Certified Adult Basic Education Instructor from MissionEd Adult Learning Solutions
- Support: Program Coordinator to assist with enrollment and student progress
About Your Instructor: Cory J. Spencer brings 7+ years of adult education experience and previously coordinated the successful GED Program at this location. She holds a Master's in Secondary Education and specializes in helping adult learners achieve their goals.
