In-Person Class: Leukemia and Lymphoma Fundraising: Orecchiette Class (NYC)

Join us for a wonderfully enjoyable evening of learning to make pasta from scratch, let by our Italian Chef Instructor, Tomasso. Proceeds from the sales of this class will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The origins of Orecchiette pasta are a bit of a mystery. It is thought that the shape of the pasta was inspired by the trulli, which are traditional stone houses with conical roofs found in Puglia. The name "orecchiette" means "little ears," and the pasta is indeed shaped like a small ear.
You will learn how to make Orecchiette pasta from scratch, with a fresh tomato-based Puttanesca sauce. This recipe is so satisfying to eat and even more fun to make!
No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).
Guests will work in pairs or small groups throughout the class. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. Outside drinks are not allowed.

Guest requirement

Class will take place on the enclosed Terrace of the hotel.  The nature of our classes are set up so that guests will work together in pairs or small groups during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment.  Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price, but will be available for sale at the venue.  Outside drinks are not allowed
