In Our Own Voice is a presentation program from NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Trained presenters give their personal story about what it’s like to live with a mental health condition. The program aims to change attitudes, assumptions, and stereotypes about people living with mental health conditions.
Emily Brice has shared her powerful story about her mental health journey many times since she has volunteered for NAMI Payson. She talks openly about her experiences and how she found hope and healing. She is now a state In Our Own Voice trainer, so she can train new presenters.
