Having previously revisited the repertoires of Fauré and Moondog, Olivier Mellano now invites us on a deep immersion into the musical universe of David Lynch — a realm where a handful of notes is enough to summon the bewitching strangeness of scenes steeped in venomous glamour, refined fury, or unsettling lullabies, whose mystery will forever elude us.
Moving between dream pop, industrial goth and hypnotic jazz, we drift through an inverted dreamscape, carried by the wonders of Jimmy Scott, Samuel Barber, Chris Isaak, Roy Orbison, Nine Inch Nails, Julee Cruise, and of course by the iconic compositions of Angelo Badalamenti.
As in the opening scene of Blue Velvet, we will enter David Lynch’s ear alongside some twelve exceptional performers, devoted heart and soul to his powerful and singular oeuvre, for a sonic journey through a filmography whose greatest moments are inseparable from its music.

Après avoir revisité les répertoires de Fauré ou de Moondog, Olivier Mellano propose une plongée dans l’univers musical de David Lynch, là où quelques notes suffisent à faire ressurgir toute l’envoûtante étrangeté de ces scènes baignées de glamour vénéneux, de fureur sophistiquée ou de berceuses inquiètes, et dont on ne percera jamais le mystère.
Entre dream pop, goth industriel ou jazz hypnotique, nous flotterons dans un rêve inversé, portés par les merveilles de Jimmy Scott, Samuel Barber, Chris Isaak, Roy Orbison, Nine Inch Nails, Julee Cruise et bien sûr, par les compositions emblématiques d’Angelo Badalamenti.
Comme dans la scène inaugurale de Blue Velvet, nous entrerons dans l’oreille de David Lynch avec une douzaine d’interprètes de haut vol, dévoué·es cœurs et âmes à son œuvre puissante et singulière, pour la traversée sonore d’une filmographie dont les plus grands moments sont indissociables de la musique.
