Our community has experienced profound and heartbreaking loss. In late 2024, the Karrenbrock family said goodbye to their beloved 9-year-old daughter, Penelope “PK.” Most recently, they lost Doug Karrenbrock — a devoted husband, father, mentor, and friend — who passed away on January 6, 2026.
Doug was known for his big heart, deep faith, unwavering commitment to family, and the way he consistently showed up for others. His life was marked by generosity, service, and love — even in his final act, giving the gift of life through organ donation. His legacy continues to touch and inspire so many.
In honor of PK, Doug, and all those grieving alongside them, we are hosting a private community camp — a space to gather, connect, remember, and honor their lives together. This 45-minute camp is not about performance, but presence: an opportunity to move with intention, reflect, and support one another while raising funds for the cause chosen by the Karrenbrock family.
What to Expect:

Please note: Childwatch will not be available for this camp at this time.
In honor of Doug, memorial donations may be made to Bree’s Gift, an organization that helps fund adoptions and fulfill family wishes. This organization held deep meaning for Doug and reflects both his heart for others and his faith journey.
