In His Breath, We Rise

The Quaderious Lyles Foundation is honored to announce the 2nd Annual In His Breath, We Rise Fundraiser, to be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Martin–Idle Hour Community Center in Phenix City, Alabama, at 4:00 p.m.

This year’s theme, “In His Breath, We Rise,” reflects the powerful purpose behind this event. It is a reminder that although Quaderious Keyon Lyles is no longer with us, the breath he once fought for now fuels a movement, one that uplifts families, empowers youth, and strengthens our community through awareness, education, and hope.

All proceeds from this heartfelt event will support the Quaderious Lyles Memorial Scholarship Fund, advancing the Foundation’s mission to increase asthma awareness, education, and prevention throughout our community.

The Quaderious Lyles Foundation was created in loving memory of Quaderious Keyon Lyles, whose life and legacy continue to inspire others to breathe with intention and live with purpose. Through our work in advocacy, education, and empowerment, we honor his memory by transforming grief into meaningful action. Each initiative we undertake is a testament to the belief that through his breath, we rise, rising to create change, rising to support families, and rising to equip the next generation with opportunities to succeed.

The Quaderious Lyles Scholarship & Asthma Awareness Fundraiser will bring together community leaders, families, donors, healthcare advocates, and supporters for an evening of remembrance, inspiration, and impact. Guests will hear powerful personal testimonies, celebrate outstanding scholarship recipients, and engage in raising awareness about the importance of early asthma education and prevention.

More than just a fundraiser, this event is a celebration of life, resilience, and opportunity. It is a call to rise together, lifting our community, strengthening awareness, and ensuring that every family has access to the tools and knowledge needed to manage asthma effectively.

Asthma affects over 25 million Americans, including 1 in 12 children. Many families, particularly those in underserved communities, lack the education and resources needed to manage this chronic condition safely. The Quaderious Lyles Foundation is committed to bridging this gap by:
