As a young boy growing up in East London, Gary Stevenson won a competition run by a bank: 'The Trading Game'. The prize? A golden ticket granting him entry into the city financial district, making him the youngest trader in the city of London.
The reality of stock trading in the city is, however, very different from the promises offered in a competition. Gary Stevenson's book The Trading Game: A Confession provides a frank account of his time spent alongside borderline psychopathic individuals, dysfunctional mathematical prodigies driven by figures, and overfed public school types.
