Join us for a special afternoon conversation with authors Brisa Carleton and Christina Baker Kline as they discuss what it takes to break into the publishing world—and how to build a lasting career as a writer.
Brisa and Christina took very different paths to their literary careers, and together they’ll share the lessons, challenges, and unexpected opportunities that shaped their journeys. Whether you’re an aspiring writer, a devoted reader, or simply curious about the behind-the-scenes world of publishing, this engaging conversation will offer insight, inspiration, and plenty of great storytelling.
Christina Baker Kline, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of novels including Orphan Train and The Exiles, will also be celebrating her forthcoming novel, The Foursome (publishing May 12, 2026). We will be taking pre-orders for the book, and Christina will be signing bookplates that will be placed inside each pre-ordered copy.
Brisa Carleton is the author of the debut novel Last Call at the Savoy. Before turning to fiction, she built an award-winning career as a Broadway producer, winning three Tony Awards and working on major productions including Hamilton, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, and Moulin Rouge! The Musical. She has also led philanthropic arts initiatives through the foundation of Albert II, Prince of Monaco, honoring the legacy of Grace Kelly. Most recently, she launched Literati Spirits, a premium vodka created by book lovers for book lovers.
