About this Event
Join Lauren Keegan in conversation with our own Kell Woods as they delve into Lauren’s powerful new novel, The Woman in the Seal Skin.
Set in Scotland in 1695 during Europe’s Little Ice Age, this richly atmospheric historical novel draws on the selkie myths of the time to tell the story of Malie, a young woman navigating grief, oppression, and her deep connection to the natural world. As rigid social forces close in around her, Malie must reckon with her own inherent wildness and what it means to live freely and truthfully.
From the author of All the Bees in the Hollows, The Woman in the Seal Skin is a haunting and compelling exploration of myth, survival, and the enduring pull of nature.
Dymocks will be selling copies of Lauren's and Kell's books on the day.
