IN CONVERSATION BREAKFAST ☀️🍳✨KERRY O’BRIEN & THOMAS MAYO
Walking a new path to truth, justice and healing
Join acclaimed journalist and author Kerry O’Brien and leading First Nations justice advocate and author Thomas Mayo for a powerful and timely In Conversation Breakfast exploring Australia’s ongoing journey towards truth-telling, justice, and reconciliation.
Together, they reflect on the nation’s continued challenges in recognising the dispossession of First Nations peoples, and the pathways forward following the Voice referendum and ongoing debates around treaty and truth-telling processes.
This important conversation brings together leading voices including former Queensland Truth-telling & Healing Inquiry member Hon Roslyn Atkinson AO and Stolen Generations survivor Billy Trott, offering deep insight into lived experience, justice, and healing across generations.
Hosted by Noosa First Nations Allies, this special breakfast event invites thoughtful reflection on how Australia can move forward together towards meaningful recognition and reconciliation.
Kerry O’Brien is one of Australia’s most respected journalists, with a distinguished career spanning Four Corners, 7.30 Report and Lateline. Thomas Mayo is a Kaurareg Aboriginal and Kalkalgal, Erubamle Torres Strait Islander author, advocate, and one of the leading voices in the national conversation on First Nations rights.
