Do you find yourself getting stuck only utilizing your "go to," movements? Does the thought of improving to live or recorded music in front of others bring up feelings of fear or discomfort? In this two hour workshop, Elizabeth will guide dancers of all levels through strategies to develop their improvisational dance skills.
Hour 1: 12:00-1:00 pm focuses on mindset, going inside the music, personal expression, & agency as well as specific games & activities dancers can do to guide their improv practice.
Hour 2: 1:00-2:00 pm focuses on collaboration & team based activities including partner & group work. Dancers will utilize one another to develop their creativity & ability to think outside the box when moving.
Location: Blank Space Studios 67 Beverage Hill Ave, Pawtucket, RI 02860 Free parking at the studio! Please bring water!
