IMPROVICELLI is a high-voltage performance group that transforms the classical cello into a weapon of rhythm, melody, and pure creative fire.Blending virtuosic musicianship with the unpredictability of live improvisation, these artists duel on stage in spontaneous musical battles — trading riffs, harmonies, and humor in a dazzling display of skill and imagination.
Whether they’re reinventing pop hits, spinning cinematic themes, or video games on the spot, IMPROVICELLI proves that the cello can do anything — and that music, at its heart, is a fearless act of play. The cellists form the teams, the audience gets to decide the rules of the games!
Improvicelli was founded by Paul Hyun, Cellist, in SOCAL. along with a community of professional cellists from all different states and cities where they come together to innovate, collaborate, and elevate concerts using the cello in a unique way audience could never imagine.
