Fallen in love with Bachata dance? This improvers course is for you. The 8-week course is a mix of Sensual, Dominican, and Moderna Bachata, designed with social dancing in mind.
Want to be the person everyone wants to dance with? Well, what are you waiting for?
Dates: Tuesday evenings 2nd September to 21st October 2025
Time: 7.30–8.30pm
Venue: St James Church, 82 Nixon St, Hamilton East.
Cost: $10 per person per class, or buy a concession card and save.
Concession Cards: 8 x classes $60, 16 classes $110,
24 classes $150.
Cash and bank transfer accepted.
What to expect
These classes are not suitable for beginner dancers or anyone new to Bachata dance.
The 8-week course focuses on improving social dancing techniques, connection for lead/follow, Sensual Bachata movements, Dominican footwork, and how to incorporate these into social dancing.
What to bring
Please bring a water bottle, snack, and warm layer for after class.
What to wear
It is recommended that dancers wear clothing that is easy to move in and breathable.
Please wear dance shoes where possible. No black soled street shoes or shoes that are hard to balance or move easily in. Ladies, heels or flats are fine, but please remember to put heel caps on your Latin heels.
These classes will involve dancing in close hold, so please apply and bring deodorant.
