Improve Your Public Speaking & Communication Skills

Location: The Lutheran Church of the Redeemer (directly across from the Ramsey Public Library).
Park in the rear lot. As you're walking from the parking lot towards the building, it's the door on the right, down a few steps.

Park Toastmasters has a sizable stage, microphone, and large screen for presentations available for all members who want to practice stagework.

Info: Meeting begins promptly at 7:15pm ET.

Info: Toastmaster introduces 1 to 3 speakers for the evening. Each speaker delivers their prepared speech for 4 to 6 mins (for new members) or 5 to 7 mins (for most speakers). All attendees are asked to handwrite feedback for speakers.

Info: For all other attendees to practice speaking off-the-cuff for 1 to 2 mins on a topic given to them on the spot. Guests are welcome (but not obligated) to participate in Table Topics.

Info: 2 to 3 mins of feedback provided to each speaker by another club member serving as a speaker evaluator. Grammarian, "Ah" counter, and timer reports are provided to ensure everyone kept within allotted time, uses correct grammar, and reduces filler words e.g. ah, um, etc.

Info: Guests are invited to stand up to speak and provide their reactions or feedback for the meeting.
