Join us every Tuesday, at La Pantera for a series of Improv Workshops, with an optional performance penciled in for the end of the year.
Each week we will play a wide variety of games and fun exercises, covering all aspects of improv and stagecraft.
- The sessions are free to attend, but please buy a drink from the bar (if you can) to support the venue.
- You don’t need any prior experience, but if you are a seasoned improviser you are welcome too!
- You're not expected to be 'good' or 'funny' – we're all learners here.
- I promise it won’t be as scary as you think!
## What is Improv?
Improv (an abbreviation of Improvisation) means making stuff up, live on stage!
The core principle is "Yes, and..." where we accept whatever is suggested to us and build upon it in a playful and constructive manner.
- Improv encompasses storytelling, acting, play, spontaneity, and creativity.
- Improv is usually performed by teams, with players jumping in and out of roles as required.
- Improv is fun and is often very funny (though it doesn't have to be!)
- No script means no lines to learn!
