About this Event
Full disclosure: I am not an experienced quilter! I have lots of sewing experience, but I really struggle with the precise sewing necessary to match all those seams and have a 'perfect' quilt block (not to mention a flat, presentable final quilt...). My solution? Improv!
In this class, we will explore random cutting and sewing to create fun fabric designs that can be made up into a quilt, a placemat, a bag, or just stitched on the back of a jacket. Relax, let go of the idea of perfect, and let the sewing evolve - it's really just playing with fabric and a sewing machine. Feel free to bring your fabrics or just use ours - same with the machine. This is going to be a no-stress sewing party! The picture is of the tree blocks I seem to be obsessed with. But we will not be limited to trees.
