About this Event

ABOUT:

This class will build on the skills learned in Levels 1 and 2, pushing students to make more grounded, sustaining improv scene choices. This course will be taught by Candice Oates, cast member in TBD: The Improvised Musical . The course meets on Monday evenings from 7:00pm-9:00pm for a total of six class sessions. Classes will take place in our Hashtag Comedy Club (1253 N. High Street).

Students will perform in an improv showcase after the classes are completed. Class will be skipped on MLK day. The showcase for this course will take place Monday, Feb 23rd from 8:00pm-9:00pm in our Hashtag Comedy Club(1253 N. High Street).

In addition to classes and a showcase, students will also receive a complimentary ticket to a Hashtag Comedy show.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • Students must have completed Level 2 in our curriculum. If you are an experienced improviser who has not taken our courses, we recommend beginning at Level 2. Doing so familiarizes yourself with our style, your student cohort, and prepares you best for Level 3.
  • Please enroll at least a week before the class begins. Courses that do not meet the instructor-set course minimum by the week before the start date may be at risk of cancellation. Please email our Director of Curriculum if you intend to enroll but cannot until the days before the course begins.
  • Age requirement: 19-119 welcome!
  • If the course is cancelled, tuition will be refunded.
  • Students must attend at least 4 of the 6 classes in order to perform in the showcase and graduate from this level.
  • Students must demonstrate comprehension of class learning objectives by the end of the course in order to advance to the next level of classes.
  • Students must abide by Hashtag Comedy’s community guidelines to remain in good standing within our educational programs.
  • PARKING: Students may park in the back of the Hashtag Theater space when spots are available. Free parking validation for said lot is available inside the theater, but students are responsible for validating their own parking.
  • Photo & Video Notice: By attending this event, you understand that photos and videos may be taken and used by Hashtag Comedy for promotional purposes (social media, website, etc.). If you prefer not to appear in any photos or videos, just let a staff member know when you arrive. We’re happy to accommodate!

If you have any questions, please reach out to Katie Drown our Director of Curriculum, at [email protected].
