Create. Connect. Laugh.🎉 FREE TASTER CLASS!
Come and try Improv for Teens for free before you commit. See what it’s all about, meet the group, and give it a go — no pressure, just play.
Step into the spotlight with Improv for Teens classes — a supportive, playful space for 14–18 year olds to explore improvised comedy and theatre, and meet people from across Brighton and Sussex.
"It was brilliant, and very freeing. Everyone had an awesome time."
Improv isn’t about being the funniest or loudest person in the room. It’s about being present, working together, and learning to trust yourself.
In these classes, you'll:
- Build confidence on and off the stage
- Learn to listen actively and think on your feet
- Improve your public speaking skills
- Develop your creativity and spontaneity
- Work collaboratively in a no-pressure environment
Improv is a great way to unwind, laugh, and meet new people outside of school or college. So whether you want to perform, build your skills, or just want a new challenge, improv has something for you.
Not just for drama kids, our classes will get you ready for the next step in your life and give you a laugh along the way.
Do it do it! It sounds terrifying, but it's so fun and not scary at all!
Coming in 2026, this programme runs in six-week blocks on Thursday afternoons and Saturday mornings. There is an optional showcase at the end of each term. We also have free sample classes for those still on the fence.
For Parents & Guardians: Why Improv for Teens matters
At this stage, teens are preparing for (and experiencing) major changes — the move into sixth form, preparing for university the world of work, and adulthood. We started these classes for older teens in order to share some of the skills we wish we had when we were that age.
Our Brighton-based improv classes help:
- Build confidence and self-awareness
- Practice clear communication and leadership
- Handle uncertainty and adapt quickly — useful for interviews, group work, and everyday life
- Strengthen teamwork and empathy
- Develop their voice and presence — both on stage and in life
These are valuable skills that go well beyond performance, and they stand out on university applications and personal statements. Plus, improv gives teens space to explore who they are in a creative, supportive setting — no pressure, just permission to play.
