Learn to think on your feat! This course will teach theatrical improv for beginners, with a view to build skills useful for TTRPG players and game masters. Learn how to provide gripping narration in your DnD games, come up with killer dialogue for your Pathfinder characters, and embrace the failure when your Call of Cthulhu rolls go wrong. Come and learn the skills that Matt Mercer, Brennan Lee Mulligan, and other actual play stars use in their games to breathe life and personality into their stories.
This 6 week course runs on Saturdays 2-4pm at Toi Aro Community Centre (3 Market Lane) beginning August 22nd.

ABOUT THE TEACHERS
JED DAVIES
Jed Davies has been performing and teaching improv for twenty years with PlayShop, PopRox, and more. He's taught beginner courses, specialized workshops for experts, how-to-play format workshops, and everything in between. Most recently he's worked as Chief Creative Officer for PopRox, leading regular skillbuilding workshops for the company during their residency at Circa Theatre. He's an avid TTRPG GM and player, having run DnD 5e professionally and playing/running Call of Cthulhu 7e, Mongoose Traveller 2e and more in his spare time.
THE STAND-BY LIST
PopRox firmly believes that improv is for everyone, especially when it comes to sharing skills and knowledge. So we're offering "the stand-by list" for all our workshops in 2026. We'll giveaway any spots remaining the week before this course, on a first-come-first-serve basis. No need to provide a reason, no questions asked. If the entry fee is a barrier for you to come along, then simply email [email protected] and we'll pop you on the SBL. Everyone on the list will be notified whether there was a place available for them at least 5 days before the course begins.
