Improv Comedy Laughter Workshop Fall 2026

Learn the basic principles of improv comedy and play some fun games this fall! No experience required.
This 6-week workshop is designed for folks with no or limited improv experience, as well as those who want to improve and practice their basic improv skills. No matter your experience level, this workshop will provide copious belly laughs as we try out improv techniques and games in a relaxed, playful environment. No stage experience required. In fact, we LOVE people new to improv. This workshop is perfect for overcoming stage, speaking, or general anxiety. Find out why improv techniques are so valued by actors, writers, comedians, educators, and business professionals. But mostly, it's a heck of a lot of fun!
Hosted by Laura Teasdale and Justin Gregg, participants will be introduced to the basic principles of improv. We will begin with simple games to deeply ingrain the rules of saying yes, not blocking our ideas, feeling free and confident, and above all, bring the laughter. We will progress through a variety of exercises that engage the body and the mind in a gentle, no-pressure manner. Working our way through the classic improv games, each participant will build the skills to perform in our (optional) end-of-workshop showcase for invited guests.
Dates: September 16-November 4 (no class Sept 30)
Times: Tuesdays 6:00-8:00 pm
Cost: $150
Location: St. Andrews Junior School, 2 Appleseed Drive | Multipurpose Room
