Improv 301: Improv Longform [TUESDAYS]

Use the skills from 201’s “Game of the Scene” to focus on bringing the Game forward and creating a fully-formed long-form show. This class continues a focus on Game-driven scenes and introduces students to group games and other multi-person scene work.Classes every Tuesday August 25th - October 6th from 7:00-9:30pm.

The course will culminate in a student show on Saturday, October 10th (exact time to be determined).

CLASS REQUIREMENTS:

• Students are required to attend 2 improv shows at Mettlesome during the course (students get into shows for free)
• Students are allowed a maximum of 2 absences per course.

INSTRUCTOR: John McKinney is a filmmaker and animator who started improvising over 20 years ago in Los Angeles at the Groundlings, iOWest, and UCB. He’s studied with improv legends Mick Napier, Will Hines, and Miles Stroth, among others. Currently John performs on the Mettlesome Harold team PLUTO THE PLANET along with his indie two-prov team SHOW US YOUR TEETH.
