Improv 101: Intro to Improv (Sundays 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM)

Discover the joy of group spontaneity and hyper acceptance. Appreciate the joy of discovery and understand how patterns lead to funny. Explore the fundamentals of improv - agreement, commitment, teamwork, spontaneity and listening through fun exercises and group play.

Dates: The class runs Sundays starting 5/31/2026 and running for 8 weeks. Note that a week may be skipped due to holidays or the Coalition's Second Best Fest comedy festival.

A showcase will be scheduled as an additional opportunity on an evening during the week of August 2nd (or potentially the week of July 27th, pending class availability and holiday scheduling).

Instructor: Elliott Wegman

Elliot Wegman is an actor and director who starred in the TV pilot The Magic Shed and has written and directed the plays Unbecoming and the soon to be staged Breaking Point. Some of his Coalition credits include Da Vinci, The Rehappening, and Improvised The Office. He’s also a 2023 Virginia High School Coach of the year!
