Hey! Imperial Novices is back on the 12th of October, and you should join us! A couple of points of information about the tournament first though.The tournament is in person. The registration fee is £40 per team. The drop out deadline is Saturday the 5th of October (exactly 2 weeks before the competition) – if you do not notify us by that time, the fee needs to be paid. We intend to run concurrent open out-rounds (e.g. gold, silver etc.) and a non-schools final, for novices who have no debating experience at schools level but of course this is dependent on the number of participants.
There is also an N-1 policy in place at the tournament meaning that universities are expected to send one less judge than they send teams. For universities sending large numbers of teams this may be reduced at the discretion of the organisers so please get in touch if this is the case.
