Impact of parental substance use on children and young people
About this Event
Join us for a training session led by Anita Gagen, Team Manager at The Matthew Project. The Matthew Project supports young people affected by substance use across Norfolk. With more than 25 years of experience in youth work and working directly with young people in a variety of settings, Anita brings a wealth of practical strategies and valuable expertise.
This session is designed to deepen your knowledge and strengthen your practice when working with children, young people, and families impacted by parental or personal substance use.
In this training, you will:

- Recognise the impact a young person’s substance use can have on their family.
- Explore attitudes and values towards substance use and consider their impact on practice.
- Understand the risk factors and indicators that make young people more vulnerable to exploitation and county lines.
