Join the University of Bristol Business School for a fast-paced and engaging showcase of how our research and practice are shaping the future of business and society. Through a dynamic programme of lightning lectures, our experts will present cutting-edge insights in just five minutes each - making complex ideas accessible, relevant, and impactful.
From innovation and entrepreneurship, to responsible AI, sustainable finance, and food systems, the session highlights the breadth of our work and its real-world application.
You’ll hear how we support female immigrant entrepreneurs, explore the future of sustainable food, and examine how ethical approaches to artificial intelligence are transforming organisations. Our commitment to civic engagement will also be front and centre, reflecting our role in driving positive change locally and globally.
The programme will also feature emerging science and technology research, including drone innovation, demonstrating how new technologies are being applied to business challenges and societal needs.
Whether you’re curious about the future of business, interested in collaboration, or simply keen to be inspired, this session offers a lively introduction to the ideas and innovations shaping tomorrow.
Exploration Zone
You can also visit the Business School at their interactive stand to discover more about research, partnerships and student initiatives, and to meet the people behind the work. You can find them at the Exploration Zone in the Exchange Hall at TQEC between 12 pm and 4:30 pm.
Celebrating 150 years and the opening of TQEC
This event is part of a public programme of events on Saturday 10 October, to celebrate the University of Bristol’s 150th year and the opening of our new Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus. The Clifton campus and TQEC will be open throughout the day, with opportunities to explore, discover and celebrate with friends and family. This is a free event and everyone is welcome.
